AN EXCLUSIVE CENTER AT THE HEART OF BERLIN

Beisheim-Center

By the 1920s, Potsdamer Platz had established itself as an important center for shopping and nightlife, and was Berlin’s main traffic hub. Revitalizing this historic location was a key chapter in the future development of the city. Many architects have created stunning buildings here that attract thousands of visitors every day.

SITUATION

Postdamer Platz, right in the heart of old and new Berlin, is where Imma-go AG ordered the construction of the Beisheim Center. This ensemble includes two upscale office buildings and luxurious apartments, as well as the five-star hotels The Ritz Carlton and Berlin Marriott. The Beisheim Center, with its elegant American-style architecture, marks the final phase of construction at Potsdamer Platz.

OBJECTIVE

TRIGON Immobilien was hired by the developer and owner to handle administrative tasks. This comprehensive assignment included commercial project management, the sale of private apartments, project accounting, cost control and scheduling. TRIGON Invest was also responsible for brokering the hotel leases.

ARCHITECTURE

The Beisheim Center joins the Sony Center and the DaimlerChrysler Building as a key urban ensemble at Potsdamer Platz – a top-flight property and an unparalleled architectural ensemble at a prominent location. Thanks to the striking silhouette of the Tower Apartments and the Ritz-Carlton, the skyline at Potsdamer Platz has gained a new landmark that can be seen for miles.

Distinct forms and modern functionalism characterize the architecture, which emphasizes stonework instead of steel and glass. With these designs, the architects have returned to the roots of modern urban architecture. The buildings, constructed around a newly-created public square called Inge-Beisheim-Platz, are a prime example of the »urban density« concept.

THE RITZ-CARLTON, BERLIN

Puttin’ on the Ritz – The crème de la crème of all luxury hotels is certainly The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin. Located at the Beisheim Center on Potsdamer Platz, this five-star superior hotel has acquired the most remarkable location in town, perfectly in keeping with its legendary reputation. In order to pamper its discerning international guests, the hotel takes pride in offering outstanding service and facilities.

In addition to a personal manservant at »La Prairie Spa« and remarkably luxurious rooms, the hotel offers fine gourmet cuisine at its own restaurants and a highly exclusive atmosphere in the »Club Lounge«.

MARRIOTT HOTEL, BERLIN

Visitors entering the Berlin Marriott Hotel will discover a light and spacious 35-meter high atrium foyer. This hotel enjoys a convenient location adjacent to the Ritz-Carlton, Berlin. With the Berlin Marriott Hotel, the city has gained a warm and friendly 5-star service establishment, showcasing spectacular architecture that is as impressive as its unique location.

The hotel has 379 elegant rooms, including eight junior suites, the impressive »Capital Suite« (170 sq m), an executive lounge with a breath-taking view of Berlin – truly a hotel within a hotel – and a (900 sq m) conference and entertainment area. A popular culinary hotspot is the Midtown Grill, featuring American-style steaks, »the best steaks in town«, and an open kitchen. The Exchange Bar & Lounge, which houses the hotel’s own radio station, »Studio 4« (home of JazzRadio 101.9), and the health club with sauna, pool and fitness area all testify to the Marriott Hotel’s renowned hospitality.
Parking

Well aware of the current inner city parking problem, developers built three underground garages at the Beisheim Center with a total of 400 parking spots. Access ramps are under video surveillance and secured by swing gates and barriers. Beyond additional barriers, drivers can enter the sections of the garage reserved for the various buildings. Entrances for the underground garages are on Auguste-Hauschner-Strasse and Ebertstrasse. The parking lots provide underground access to all stairs and elevators up to the buildings. The streets “Berliner Freiheit” and “Am Park” are private and not open to public through traffic.

LOCATION

The Beisheim Center is situated in the inner city district of Berlin-Tiergarten at a prime location in the Lenné triangle, on the northern part of Potsdamer Platz, adjacent to the Sony Center, the DaimlerChrysler Building and Leipziger Platz. North of the Beisheim Center lies the 210-ha Tiergarten park. The government quarter with the Reichstag, the Chancellor’s Office, German ministries, state missions and a wide range of embassies are within easy walking distance.
